SL's Best Player Named Monday, June 4th , 2063 23-year-old Julius Sharp sent shock waves through United States Silver League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the United States Silver League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Sharp made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .571 average, 12 hits in 21 at-bats, 2 home runs and 9 runs batted in. Where the Ft. Worth Cattlemen third baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Sharp certainly made his mark last week. Thus far this year, Sharp is batting .571 with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
