Hammer Hurls Shutout Friday, June 10th , 2061 Ft. Worth Cattlemen hurler Jack Hammer was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Montana Pandas, shutting them out, 4-0, on 1 hit. "Jack was very aggressive tonight," Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence." Through 9 innings, Hammer tallied 1 strikeout and allowed 1 walk. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Andrew Schupick said. "Hammer has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off." So far this season, Hammer has compiled a 3-4 record with a 2.72 ERA.
