SL Player of the Week Named Monday, June 19th , 2062 It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Joe Patrick, the Long Island Lighthouse 23-year-old second baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for United States Silver League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 12 hits in 30 at-bats, compiling a .400 average with 2 home runs and 12 RBIs. This season, Patrick is swinging the bat at a .338 rate with 48 hits in 142 at-bats. To date he has hit 4 home runs, scored 27 runs and driven in 24. |
