Flamingos Swap Gómez to Rainbow Mermaids for Carter Sunday, July 3rd , 2061 In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Las Vegas Flamingos have swapped 25-year old minor league 1B Alfredo Gómez to the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids for 26-year old minor league RHP Derek Carter. The Flamingos GM told reporters, "We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it." This year, Gómez is batting .234 with 29 hits, 1 home run, 7 RBIs, 10 walks, .307 OBP and has scored 9 runs. |
