Lumsden Pops 3 Out of the Park Against Flamingos Saturday, July 14th , 2063 Fans are still buzzing after Ft. Worth whipped the Las Vegas Flamingos by the score of 12-2 at The Cattle Pen. Les Lumsden smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the left fielder bashed out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 4 times. At the postgame press conference, Lumsden said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Lumsden said. "Three is just... wow." Les Lumsden hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Hull in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Steven Weaver in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Mark Smith in the 8th. Thus far this year, Lumsden has hit .284 with 5 home runs and 14 RBIs. |
