Cattlemen Werner Out of Action Sunday, October 2nd, 2039 When Allen Werner was hurt against the Charleston Battery, the Ft. Worth Cattlemen were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 26-year-old starting pitcher suffered bone chips in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Werner would miss 4-5 months of the season. On the year Werner has worked 100.2 innings with 81 strikeouts en route to a 6-6 record and 5.27 ERA. |
