Center Fielder Honored by SL Monday, August 1st , 2061 Youngster Dave Hennessey emerged as the latest United States Silver League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Pittsburgh deserved the honor, batting .422 with 6 home runs and 16 RBI. Is the month of July a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Hennessey enjoy the limelight. Thus far this season in 43 games, Hennessey is batting .351 with 10 home runs, 28 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 61 hits in 174 at-bats. |
