Sweet Swing, Sweet Month for Rookie Mondragon Wednesday, August 1st , 2057 José Mondragon's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Greenville first baseman has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In July he was voted the Rookie of the Month. During the month he hit .310 with 6 doubles, no triples and 7 home runs. Mondragon also scored 16 times and drove in 16 runs. At the moment, Mondragon is hitting .316 with 19 home runs and 53 RBIs. He has played in 69 games and scored 45 times. |
