Coeur End Feliciano Streak Saturday, August 11th , 2063 It was the best of both worlds for the St. Louis Coeur at The Tank, as they defeated the Panama City Piranhas, 3-1, and also snapped Manny Feliciano's 20-game hitting streak. The 25-year-old Panama City second baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Feliciano, we just wanted to win the game," said Coeur skipper Scott McMahon. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Feliciano frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." This year, Feliciano is batting .344 with 112 hits, 22 home runs, 64 RBIs, 24 walks, .390 OBP and has scored 58 runs. |
