Week's Top Performer Honored by SL Monday, August 13th , 2063 24-year-old Bob Lawrence sent shock waves through United States Silver League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the United States Silver League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Lawrence made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .579 average, 11 hits in 19 at-bats, no home runs and 4 runs batted in. Where the Memphis Mockingbirds second baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Lawrence certainly made his mark last week. This season, Lawrence has hit at a .579 clip and produced 4 RBI, no home runs and 3 runs. |
