Popovic 5-for-5 Against Flamingos Monday, August 20th , 2057 Ostoja Popovic was sizzling at the plate. The Oakland third baseman blistered the Las Vegas Flamingos for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to defeat, 18-3. "Popovic was too tough to get out today," Flamingos skipper Tom Williams said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win."
