Monroe Top of His Class in July Tuesday, August 1st , 2062 Pitcher Bobby Monroe of the Echo Park Lakers was the standout rookie in the United States Silver League last month and today the league announced that he won the Rookie of the Month trophy. In July his record was 4-1 with a 1.89 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 33.1 innings. Monroe has fashioned a 9-3 mark for the season, 1.54 ERA and thrown 87.2 innings in 13 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .214 against him. |
