Year Ends for Mal Parker in St. Louis Thursday, September 13th , 2063 The doctors have spoken and Mal Parker of the St. Louis Coeur didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old center fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Parker sustained his season-ending injury during the Echo Park Lakers game yesterday at LA Forum. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while making a defensive play. Today the St. Louis medical staff reported Parker had a hamstring strain and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 weeks. This season, Parker is batting .344 with 97 hits, 21 home runs, 59 RBIs, 20 walks, .388 OBP and has scored 54 runs. He has played in 73 games. |
