Year Ends for Bobby Monroe in Echo Park Thursday, September 20th , 2063
The doctors have spoken and Bobby Monroe of the Echo Park Lakers didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Monroe sustained his season-ending injury during the Panama City Piranhas game yesterday at The Tank. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Echo Park medical staff reported Monroe had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months.
This year, Monroe has 6 wins and 6 losses and a 3.07 ERA.
