Injury Setback for Liberty Montoya Wednesday, September 28th , 2061 Jorge Montoya was taking it slow and easy nursing a sore elbow back to good health, when he suffered a setback. According to a Philadelphia team official, "Jorge was making excellent progress and it appeared he would return to the squad ahead of schedule. But then he reinjured it in a light workout." Club doctors now say the 25-year-old Liberty closer will be out at least another one week. Montoya has 24 saves in 41 relief appearances this season with a 5-2 mark and 1.45 ERA. In 49.2 innings he has 44 strikeouts and 6 walks. Other clubs are hitting .210 against him. |
