Memphis Ships Romero to Long Island Monday, January 30th , 2062 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Mockingbirds announced today the acquisition of $8 in cash from the Long Island Lighthouse in exchange for 27-year old RHP Steve Romero. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Mockingbirds, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." In his career, Romero has compiled a 18-22 record with a 3.71 ERA in 56 starts. |
