Rosales and Davis Dealt
Monday, February 27th , 2062
Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Thunder announced today the acquisition of 32-year old 3B Bob Davis and 25-year old RHP Nelson Bennett from the Las Vegas Flamingos in exchange for 24-year old minor league 3B Manuel Méndez, 18-year old minor league RF Héctor Luna, 21-year old minor league CF Tony Rosales, and $2 in cash. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Thunder, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams."
Las Vegas will retain a portion of Davis's remaining contract.
Checking out his career figures, Davis has played in 110 games with a .259 batting average. Among his 110 hits are 15 home runs. He has also scored 51 runs, stolen 7 bases, and driven in 58 runs.
