Coeur Send Beguer to Montana Thursday, March 6th , 2059 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the St. Louis Coeur and the Montana Pandas have agreed to a deal that will have 28-year old LF Jorge Beguer, 26-year old C Phillip McGee, and 26-year old RHP Joey Greco heading to Montana in exchange for 20-year old minor league LHP Lander Vardoulakis, 17-year old minor league CF Pedro Paredes, and 17-year old minor league SS Tamuramaro Kimura. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. St. Louis will retain a portion of Beguer's remaining contract. Checking out his career figures, Beguer has played in 164 games with a .253 batting average. Among his 154 hits are 9 home runs. He has also scored 97 runs, stolen 43 bases, and driven in 49 runs. |
