Dyer Magic in 1-0 Shutout Monday, May 7th , 2063 The Las Vegas Flamingos did little to support starter Gary Dyer against the Echo Park Lakers, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Lakers, striking out 3 and surrendering 4 hits. The performance from Dyer allowed Las Vegas to escape with the 1-0 win, despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said, 'Gary, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Dyer told BNN reporters following the win.
