Worthy on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Long Island
Sunday, May 15th , 2061
Oscar Worthy of the Piranhas was unstoppable in his team's 8-2 victory over the Long Island Lighthouse at The Tank. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Panama City second baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."
Oscar Worthy singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Robert Shirt in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
This year, Worthy is hitting .298, produced 6 RBIs and 1 home runs, scored 7 times and gotten on base at a .327 rate.
