Binbows Hits 3 Homers Against Mexico City Saturday, May 6th , 2062 His swing was a thing of beauty. Three times Michaelsoft Binbows swung the bat and three times he delivered a home run. It was an awesome sight to behold at The Cattle Pen, but to no avail, for as good as he was, the Mexico City Blue Demons were better. The Ft. Worth Cattlemen couldn't capitalize on the big game from Binbows and dropped the contest, 8-7. The mood in the Cattlemen clubhouse afterward was subdued, with several players remarking that they had allowed the Blue Demons to spoil the day for Binbows. "Some of the boys are beating themselves up about it," Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson said. "They know we win as a team and lose as a team, but it's hard to really put that idea into practice on a day when one of you was playing on such an obviously higher level." In addition to the homers, Binbows collected 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," the Ft. Worth right fielder told reporters. "Today I was in a groove. Tomorrow I could just pop the same pitches up and go 0-for-3." Michaelsoft Binbows hit a solo-shot off Mark Bowden in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Mark Bowden in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Leonard Dennis in the 9th. This season, Binbows has hit at a .250 clip and produced 6 runs batted in, 3 home runs and 4 runs. |
