3L's Top Player, Almanzar of Echo Park Monday, July 21st, 2036 Echo Park Lakers right fielder Angeddy Almanzar walked away with the Menard's Third League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Lakers fans are really behind me right now," said the 26-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Almanzar batted .536 (15-for-28) with 5 home runs and 11 RBIs this week on his way to the award. Almanzar is presently batting .285 with 19 home runs, 40 runs scored and 47 RBIs. His OBP is .343. |
