Week's Top Performer Honored by 3L Monday, July 6th, 2037 A hot-hitting week got Jesús Vargas the Menard's Third League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The Athletic Club KC center fielder slammed them for a .524 average, 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 6 runs. In the postgame press conference, Vargas shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that." For the year Vargas has hit at a .297 clip with 34 RBIs, 18 home runs and 32 runs scored. |
