Super Swinger -- Kools Slams 5 Hits Thursday, June 8th , 2062 After his 5-hit effort at Megaffin Park was tarnished by Kingston's 5-4 loss to the Cape Coral Hurricanes, first baseman Jean Kools told BNN beat writers it was "a missed opportunity for a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "I would have been happy to stop there if it meant we got a win." He didn't get the win, but the 32-year-old had a spectacular 5-for-7 game against the Hurricanes. "His swing is getting there," said Ponies skipper Rayzor Ray after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Jean did that to perfection and we wasted it." Jean Kools hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th, doubled in the 11th, struck out in the 12th and singled in the 15th.
