Mitsuo Suzuki Bashes Three over the Wall Saturday, June 24th , 2062 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Oakland Oaks. Kingston left fielder Mitsuo Suzuki tripled up on the home runs to propel the Ponies to a win, 8-2, at The Oak Grove. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Oakland manager DAshley GoAs said. "Suzuki hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Suzuki collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Mitsuo Suzuki hit a two-run home run off Scott Bishop in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Scott Bishop in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Claude Moulin in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. At the moment, Suzuki is hitting .274 with 7 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has played in 40 games and scored 20 times. |
