5-Hit Blitz by Rojas Wednesday, July 29th , 2054 The 5th time was not the charm for Esteban Rojas today. The shortstop for the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids hit the milestone today at Atlantica, but it was the Charleston Battery that salvaged a 4-3 victory. Rojas finished with a 5-for-9 line at the plate, and it still wasn't enough. "He was not an easy out, that's for sure," Charleston manager Don Lookingbill said to the press in the postgame interview. "I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win." Rojas declined to speak to reporters at length following the game, saying only that "no loss is a good one." Esteban Rojas grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th, doubled in the 14th, flied out in the 16th, singled in the 19th and struck out in the 21st.
