Vargas Gets 3L Batter of the Month Trophy Friday, July 1st , 2061 David Vargas of the Kingston Ponies had a field day with Menard's Third League pitchers last month and was crowned the Batter of the Month as a result. During June he compiled a .382 batting average, drove in 20 runs and scored 17 times. He also managed to pick up 11 walks to post a .466 on-base percentage. Vargas is currently hitting at a .346 pace with 10 home runs, 29 RBIs and has scored 28 times. |
