Memphis Ships Cervantes to Cape Coral Tuesday, July 3rd , 2063 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Mockingbirds announced today the acquisition of $4 in cash from the Cape Coral Hurricanes in exchange for 25-year old minor league RHP Juan Cervantes. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Mockingbirds, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Thus far this season, Cervantes has tossed 51 innings in 7 starts, fanned 39 batters, walked 12 and put up a 3.00 ERA with 4 wins and 1 loss. |
