Peters Spins Masterpiece, No-Hits Buckhead Thursday, July 7th , 2061 In a dominant outing, Jack Peters of the Long Island Lighthouse totally silenced the bats of the Buckhead Bowties, finishing with a no-hitter. In the 4-0 victory, Peters faced only 32 batters, surrendered no hits, had 5 strikeouts and 6 walks. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Long Island manager Michael Esposito said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Kerry Hofmeister had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game. "The Lighthouse had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped.
