Hollywood, Montana Confirm Deal Friday, August 4th , 2051 It took some time to iron out the details, but the Shredders and Pandas have agreed to a swap. Montana will get 35-year old 2B Jaime Soto and 32-year old RF Yong-hong Ren with Hollywood receiving 20-year old minor league RHP Santiago Arévalo and 21-year old minor league RHP Bob Daniel in return. A source close to the trade talks said the two clubs were initially looking to make a bigger deal, but discussions broke off late last night. The two sides reconvened early today and eventually settled on this deal. Hollywood will retain a portion of Soto's remaining contract. Hollywood will retain a portion of Ren's remaining contract. This year Ren has hit at a .317 clip with 27 RBIs, 11 home runs and 27 runs scored. |
