Kingfishers End Hor Streak
Friday, July 13th , 2057
Buckhead right fielder Shu-yaan Hor came into today's game against the Pittsburgh Kingfishers on a hot streak. He left on a cold one.
The Kingfishers did their jobs well, beating the Buckhead Bowties, 3-1, and holding Hor hitless to snap his 20-game hitting streak. The 28-year-old right fielder had a few words to say after finishing 0-for-1, telling reporters only that he "came up short."
"What Shu-yaan did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Bowties manager Kerry Hofmeister. "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 20 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."
So far this season, Hor has put up a .385 batting average with 79 hits, 5 home runs and 41 RBIs.
