More Injury Problems for St. Louis's Craig Lucas Tuesday, July 26th , 2061 Coeur starting pitcher Craig Lucas has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation for a hamstring strain. He was expected to finish treatment soon and rejoin the team slightly ahead of schedule. Doctors reevaluated him after he felt severe pain in a recent workout. The preliminary examination revealed more damage and is worse than the first injury. Anonymous sources in St. Louis told BNN Craig Lucas would be absent from the roster quite a bit longer than originally diagnosed. He would now have to miss at least 1-2 weeks. So far this year, Lucas has made 5 starts, tossed 34.1 innings, struck out 33 batters and walked 4. His record is 2-2 with a 1.83 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .269 batting average. |
