Jorge Zapata Wins 3L Trophy Monday, July 24th , 2062 It was announced today that Panama City right fielder Jorge Zapata had received the Menard's Third League Player of the Week Award for his impressive play last week. All week long he was terrific at the plate and won the honor with a .556 BA (10-for-18), 2 home runs and 5 RBIs. This season, Zapata is swinging the bat at a .269 rate with 61 hits in 227 at-bats. To date he has hit 7 home runs, scored 28 runs and driven in 30. |
