Díaz and Kipkorir Brawl, League Suspends Them Thursday, August 20th , 2054 If there wasn't a history between Joaquín Díaz of Cape Coral and Hakizimana Kipkorir of Thunder Bay, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Díaz said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This year Díaz is hitting .219 with 30 hits, 8 home runs, 23 RBIs and has scored 21 runs. In season stats Kipkorir shows a 4-7 record in 18 games, 112.2 innings, 109 strikeouts and a 4.79 ERA. |
