Pauw's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Saturday, August 21st , 2055 Gerben Pauw collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, beat the Colorado Billy Goats 9-2. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Pauw quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Gerben Pauw walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 9th. This year Pauw is batting .274 with 13 home runs.
