Menard's Third League Winner is Pyon Monday, August 22nd , 2061 Chun-yeong Pyon, known affectionately as "the old man" by the younger players in the Leviathan clubhouse, showed his teammates how to do it last week -- and in the process the 35-year-old vet beat out all competition for the Menard's Third League Player of the Week Award. He put up a .522 batting average, 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 1 home run and 8 RBIs. Pyon also scored 5 runs. To date Pyon has chalked up a .354 average with 12 home runs, driven in 48 runs and scored 57 times. |
