On Fire, Collier Wins 3L Rookie Award Thursday, September 1st , 2061 Steven Collier has come a long way in a short period of time and has developed into a solid starter. The 23-year-old Oakland hurler has been spectacular in his 6 starts this month and has been acclaimed Rookie of the Month in the Menard's Third League. In August Collier fired the ball with confidence, going 4-1 with a 2.79 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 38.2 innings. Oakland fans really have something to look forward to with this kid. Collier has posted a 9-2 record for the year with a 2.69 ERA. Teams are hitting .246 against him and he has rung up 70 strikeouts in 93.2 innings. |
