Buckhead Loses Sterner for Year
Saturday, September 1st , 2063
The doctors have spoken and Knud Sterner of the Buckhead Bowties didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Sterner sustained his season-ending injury during the Oakland Oaks game yesterday at The Oak Grove. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Buckhead medical staff reported Sterner had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months.

This season, Sterner has picked up 2 saves and posted a 1-1 record with a 1.82 ERA. He has 14 relief appearances, tossed 24.2 innings and struck out 18.
