David Vargas Out for 3 Weeks Friday, August 11th , 2062 The Kingston Ponies will have to make do without David Vargas for 3 weeks. He suffered an intercostal strain while running the bases in the game today against the Detroit Rock City. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the shortstop. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." Vargas is hitting .340 this year with 15 home runs and 49 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .402, 26 walks and scored 34 times. |
