Week's Premier Player: Thunder Bay's Hurtado Monday, August 14th , 2062 26-year-old Junior Hurtado sent shock waves through Menard's Third League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Menard's Third League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Hurtado made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .480 average, 12 hits in 25 at-bats, no home runs and 10 RBI. Where the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC second baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Hurtado certainly made his mark last week.
