Colorado's Wilkerson Will Miss Season
Saturday, September 23rd , 2056
Colorado left fielder John Wilkerson could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured achilles tendon. He exited yesterday's Northern Virginia game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Wilkerson would be out 6 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
Wilkerson is hitting .216 this season with 12 home runs, 49 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 75 hits in 348 at-bats.
