Big Year for Phung, Wins 3L Outstanding Pitcher Award Saturday, November 11th , 2062 A sparkling 14-3 mark for the year just about says it all -- that's what Pham Phung of the Charleston Battery put up this season. That's why the Menard's Third League rated him the #1 hurler in the league and named him the 2062 Outstanding Pitcher Award winner. He held opposing clubs to a .257 batting average and compiled a 2.38 ERA. Phung stood out with 145 strikeouts while giving up 157 hits and 33 walks in 159 innings. Miguel Angel Vargo of the St. Louis Coeur finished second in voting, while Justin Brammer of the St. Louis Coeur finished third. |
