3L Gives Best Pitcher Award

This past season was very special for Sloppy Thurston of the Colorado Billy Goats. He picked up 16 wins against only 3 losses and was chosen the winner of the 2060 Menard's Third League Outstanding Pitcher Award.
The 22-year-old Billy Goats ace fashioned a fine 2.27 ERA in 25 starts. He threw 182 innings, gave up 126 hits, 47 walks and held opponents to a .192 average. Thurston fanned 159 batters this season.
Ken Harding of the Long Island Lighthouse finished second in voting, while Alfredo Maldonado of the Nova Scotia Leviathan finished third.
