Portland-Montana Trade: Solís for Orlebar Tuesday, April 30th, 2041 It's all done except the paperwork. The Portland Evergreens and the Montana Pandas have agreed to a trade that will send 30-year-old 1B Jeff Solís, 20-year-old minor league RHP Mike Barraza and $5 in cash to Montana, while 27-year-old LHP Gerald Orlebar will be shipped to Portland. A top front office executive with the Evergreens described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said. In his career Solís has hit for a .257 average and totaled 429 hits, 39 home runs and 163 RBIs. In his career Orlebar has compiled an ERA of 3.70 with 11 victories and 7 defeats and has held opponents to a .233 batting average. |
