Done Deal: Román for Jones
Tuesday, April 8th , 2059
Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Pandas announced today the acquisition of 30-year old 2B David Jones from the Colorado Billy Goats in exchange for 19-year old minor league 2B Tomás Román and 21-year old minor league LF Branco de Regt. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Pandas, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams."
Jones has played in 468 games with a .231 lifetime batting average. Among his 381 hits are 75 doubles, 7 triples and 38 home runs. He has also scored 209 runs and driven in 160 runs.
