A newcomer to the league, Vásquez made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .538 average, 14 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs and 8 runs batted in. Where the Oakland Oaks left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Vásquez certainly made his mark last week. |
