Hit Streak Now at 20 for Takaki Sunday, June 24th, 2035 Win or lose, Harumi Takaki just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 1 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Phoenix Hotspur designated hitter went 1-for-4 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 13-3 by the Panama City Piranhas at Chase Field. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Harumi Takaki flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. This year Takaki has hit at a .343 clip with 38 RBIs, 10 home runs and 34 runs scored. |
