No Hits for Urby, Streak Ends at 30 Saturday, August 29th, 2043 The Plymouth Rocks did something to Fernando Urby no team had done for the last 30 games -- they stopped him, ending his consecutive-game hitting streak. Unfortunately, they couldn't do the same to the Drummers, who came away with the 7-4 victory at Plymouth Quarry. "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever," the 26-year-old third baseman said of the demise of his streak. "It was a good ride while it lasted." Currently Urby is batting .277 with 9 home runs, 49 RBIs and 40 runs scored. |
