Monday, June 10th , 2058
The Sacramento Redlegs may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 6-3, to the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, but Sandross Bañaga continued to hit like a god.
The third baseman collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Bañaga is playing great and is on fire right now," Redlegs manager Luis Ríos said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Bañaga was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Sandross Bañaga hit a solo-shot off Kensaku Sanu in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
Bañaga is currently hitting .307 with 7 home runsand 13 RBIs, while scoring 25 runs.
