Sacramento Announces Aaronson Will Retire Wednesday, June 28th , 2062 It's a somber day for Redlegs fans as Brenden Aaronson announced that he will retire at the end of the 2062 season. The Sacramento shortstop attributed his retirement to his age and loss of skills. "I'm not the type of player I want to be anymore," he said. "It's harder go out there and be competitive. I'm not at the end of my rope yet, but I've seen guys hang around too long. I'm not going to be one of them." Aaronson has a career .253 average with 85 hits, including 19 doubles, no triples and 3 homers, collected 33 RBIs, scored 26 runs and compiled a .283 OBP. |
